Ardavan Nozari started his finance career in 1986 as a quantitative research analyst at Bond Portfolio Analysis Group at Salomon Brothers. He continued to serve the company and its successors in various senior positions including Head of Risk Management for Global Fixed Income, Head of Fixed Income Trading of Nikko Citigroup, Head of Global Multi-Asset Derivatives, and Deputy Chief Investment Officer of Citi Alternative Investments. Ardavan joined Bank of America in 2005 as the Head of Risk Management for Global Markets, and was subsequently promoted to the Head of Enterprise Market Risk for the entire company.
Ardavan founded Nozari Advisors in late 2008 advising Private Equity Funds and Hedge Funds in their acquisition of financial institutions and implementation of hedging strategies. He rejoined Citigroup in 2010 as the Treasurer of Citigroup Global Markets Holdings — one of the largest broker/dealers in the world. He resumed Nozari Advisors in 2013.
Ardavan received a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with a focus in Operations Research from Pennsylvania State University. He worked in academia and at Bell Laboratories before joining the financial industry.
